This recently completed project showcases how modern outdoor construction systems can simplify complex architectural designs. Built by Bufton Construction and landscaped by SGLA Landscape Architecture, the outdoor living space brings together Anchorjak® permeable tile decking, frameless glass pool fencing, and innovative foundation solutions to create a refined and durable poolside environment. Anchorjak® Permeable Tile Decking System

At the heart of the project is the Anchorjak® permeable tile decking system, designed to deliver a clean architectural tile finish while maintaining drainage, airflow, and long-term stability.

The deck combines membrane deck construction with aluminium framing mounted on J-Vice ground screws, creating a highly efficient structure that avoids unnecessary concrete work while allowing precise levelling across the site.

Large-format exterior tiles are supported by the Anchorjak Corna Keepa™ system, a specialised tile support designed to keep tiles perfectly aligned and stable over time.

Key benefits of the Anchorjak system:

• Permeable tile decking that allows water to drain beneath the surface
• Adjustable pedestal supports for perfectly level outdoor tiles
• Compatible with aluminium framing and membrane deck construction
• Reduced ground preparation using J-Vice ground screws
• Stable, clunk-free floating tile surfaces around pools and outdoor living areas

By integrating aluminium framing with the pedestal system, the project achieves a strong yet lightweight deck structure, making installation faster while maintaining long-term durability.

Frameless Glass Pool Fencing

Surrounding the pool area is Glass Vice® frameless glass pool fencing, designed to provide maximum safety without interrupting the landscape views.

The frameless design creates a clean architectural edge to the pool while allowing the surrounding landscaping to remain the visual focus of the space.

Complex Architecture Made Simple

Projects that combine membrane decks, pool surrounds, landscaping, and level transitions often require complicated structural detailing. The Anchorjak Corna Keepa system simplifies this process, enabling builders to create precise tile layouts while maintaining drainage and structural performance.
