The Glass Vice Anchorjak™ Adjustable Pedestal Deck System is a simple and reliable solution for building level timber pedestal decks over concrete slabs, membrane roofs, and structural decks.
Designed for New Zealand building conditions, Anchorjak’s height-adjustable pedestals make installation fast while creating a stable platform for a seamless indoor–outdoor transition.

Anchorjack Pedestal Timber Frames
Anchorjak™ floating timber platforms on adjustable pedestals provide a reliable, compliant solution for raised decks over concrete or membrane surfaces. PS1 producer statements are available, allowing balustrades to be securely fixed while minimising penetrations through the waterproof membrane. Timber pedestal frames can be constructed using 90×45, 140×45, or 190×45 joists, depending on available height, and can still be engineered to support a balustrade. Frames are typically built using J-Vice structural brackets for fast, secure installation. For projects requiring a lower profile or non-structural solution, Anchorjak pedestals can also support aluminium joist framing systems, ideal for tight height thresholds. Anchorjak adjustable pedestals are available through major New Zealand building merchants by special order, or directly online via the J-Vice website.
